One beautiful morning, little Hanuman woke up feeling very hungry. Looking toward the sky, he saw the glowing red Sun and mistook it for a ripe, juicy fruit. Without hesitation, the fearless child leaped into the heavens to catch it. As Hanuman flew higher and higher, the gods watched in amazement. His immense strength and speed surprised everyone in heaven. Fearing that the balance of the universe would be disturbed, the gods tried to stop him. Lord Indra used his thunderbolt (Vajra) to protect the cosmos, while Vayu Dev, the Wind God and Hanuman's father, became upset after seeing his son injured. To calm Vayu Dev and restore peace, the gods blessed Bal Hanuman with immense strength, wisdom, courage, protection, and divine powers that would later help Lord Shri Ram in his mission.
