The Brief

They initiated the project with branding. To pitch the investors about their company, PQ needed to design the investor pitch deck, for which they came to WorkLooper. We were assigned the task of designing their company’s logo first and then the investor pitch deck.

The first step was creating a logo that would represent their brand well. We worked with PQ's team, who had previously been working on their own design but were looking for professional help. We used this chance to ask them about their goals for the company, what they wanted people to think when they saw the logo, and what kind of impression they wanted to make on potential investors. From there, we created several iterations based on their feedback until we arrived at something everyone agreed was perfect!

Then the team at Protein Quest came to us with a request: they needed help designing their company's investor pitch deck. They were launching a new product, and they wanted to be able to present it in the best light possible.

Since we were already working on their logo design, we decided to go ahead and create the pitch deck as well—it was an excellent opportunity for us to see how our work would be put into practice.

The raw data was received in Microsoft PowerPoint based on which we had to design the pitch deck.

The Process

We had the pleasure of working with PQ to develop a logo for their new business. The client provided us with detailed information about their company and its target audience, so we knew exactly what they were looking for in a new logo. We first designed and shared logo options as per the company’s niche. Various options were provided, and the client chose one option from the first draft after which changes were made as per the feedback and the final logo output was given.

The logo is the symbol of a company, and it represents what a company stands for. The concept of the pitch deck was created using the data and branding of PQ. With the help of infographics, the layout was then created. The infographics were created in Adobe illustrator and after completion, they were imported to PowerPoint presentation in an image format. The color scheme used for this pitch deck is very simple and minimalistic which makes it look more professional and appealing to the eyes.

To ensure that all the tables and charts in the presentation were formatted correctly, we designed them in PowerPoint. This allowed us to make any changes easily, even for someone who isn't a designer. The charts were designed in Microsoft Excel, which was then linked to PowerPoint. The final product was branded in the company's color. We also manipulated some of the images for team members using Photoshop. After creating our initial slides, we created a master template that could be used by any team member of our client to create presentations in the future without hampering formatting.

The Challenge

Infographics are a great way to present information. They can be used to illustrate a specific point or to show a trend over time. Infographics are more visually appealing than tables and graphs, and they help enhance the viewer's understanding of the data.

In our presentation, we had to include a lot of different kinds of information: data from our surveys, charts from surveys by other companies, charts from market research websites, etc. We wanted all this information to be presented in an appealing way—so we decided to create infographics for all of it!

In PowerPoint there are certain limitation in terms of creativity, there are certain limitations that cannot be ignored, and we had to design everything info graphically so we had to design the pie charts and infographics first in Adobe Illustrator and then bring it back to PPT in an image format. There was a lot of technical data, so it was challenging to keep everything in one slide and have the design infographic too.

When we were making presentations, we had to provide two sizes for the presentation. The first size was for widescreen and the second was a custom size. After approval of the widescreen version, we had to format all slides again in the custom size. Sometimes there would be many changes in the tables and we had to keep going back and forth between PPT and Excel to change the number and link back to the file. The presentation came out really well with a very professional look. The client highly appreciated the pitch deck. We delivered the final file as an open PowerPoint file along with a PSD file off images manipulated so in future clients can edit any information without any dependency on others.

The Result

We were overjoyed to report that the project was completed and delivered on time. The client was really pleased with the presentation because it appeared to be very professional.

The pitch deck was also well received by the client. We offered the final product as an open PowerPoint file with a PSD file of the modified photos so that the client is able to modify any material in the future without relying on others.
